Qualified equipment models contribute to a cleaner environment by using less energy and less water than conventional models. Since most commercial ktichen equipment lasts eight years or more, you can maximize your savings potential by choosing ENERGY STAR models when replacing your appliances.
For example, by outfitting an entire kitchen with a suite of ENERGY STAR Qualified Commercial Food Service Equipment could save the operators about 285 Mbtu/year annually, approximately equivalent to up to $2500.
Besides saving energy, ENERGY STAR qualified steam cookers and commercial dishwashers save water. Steam cookers that have earned the ENERGY STAR have demonstrated that they are 90% more water efficient than non-qualified steam cookers. An ENERGY STAR qualified commercial dishwasher is 25% more water efficient than standard models.
ENERGY STAR represents energy efficient products and is recognized for its compliance with EPA specifications and guidelines, and for the decrease of green house emissions and other pollutants caused by the waste of energy. Consumers can easily identify ENERGY STAR and purchase improved energy efficient equipment, offering savings in energy costs, without sacrificing the quality, features, or performance.
By purchasing ENERGY STAR Qualified Commercial Food Service Equipment for a new kitchen or as a replacement for older equipment, consumers can significantly save money and energy on your business' electric, gas, water, and sewer bills while helping the environment
